Apprendre
I love the French verb "apprendre." It means "to learn." The word sounds great to say or hear because of the "dr" that lingers after one has actually pronounced it (other favorite sounds include "bl" at the last syllable, a single "s" that sounds like "z", the last letter of a word that is mixed with the first letter of the next because of liaison, how an "e" is negligible). Beyond the aesthetics of "apprendre," I love the word because it always provides something transformative to help one get by. That from mistakes, one learns to thrive; that from victories, one learns the value of not giving up; that the world never runs out of things worth learning; that the universe presents countless people or events to learn from; that we continue to learn with each other; that in a cycle of "rise, fall and rise," it is a always a wonderful experience to learn.
